Job Description:

An international company and industry leader in polymers and specialty chemicals is in need of a Senior Applications Engineer. Key responsibilities include managing all technical service activities for pressure sensitive adhesives, assist customers with adhesive application activities, including material approval processes and in the acceptance and implementation of new products, work in close partnership with Marketing, Sales, Technical and Manufacturing departments at all project stages, asses current product lines to address new business opportunities, lead trial planning, management and follow-up with account management teams, and provide feedback to chemist to develop new latexes from small scale development through scale-up and commercialization.

Requirements for this position are BS Chemistry, Engineering or Polymer Science, 5+ years of product application experience with multiple commercially successful materials, awareness of TSCA and related EPA regulations for polymer manufacturing, working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and DOE, excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills, demonstrated problem solving and project leadership abilities, knowledge of adhesive characterization techniques including DMA, GPC, DSC and Rheology, skilled in formulating Pressure Sensitive Adhesives for appropriate end uses.
