Job Description:

Global company and industry leader in polymers and specialty chemicals is in need of a Technical Applications Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers with nonwoven durable applications (i.e. towels, wipes, filtration); develop a thorough understanding of customer manufacturing processes in order to identify and develop new product applications or solutions; work closely with research chemists in formulating new products in nonwovens from polymers; develop & define project deliverables on technical solutions or new products in coordination with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing; determine internal costs of new products; lead trial planning, management and follow-up with account management team; and keep abreast of developments in nonwovens field.

Requirements for this position are a BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Polymer Science, 5-7 years product application experience with nonwovens, knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and DOE, awareness of TSCA & EPA regulations for polymer manufacturing, demonstrated project leadership abilities, and effective communication skills.
